Why renovate the South Course?
With our prime location, variety of real estate offerings, stunning landscaping, spectacular new clubhouse, and recently renovated North and East Courses, BallenIsles is poised to benefit greatly from a revitalization of our South Course. A holistic upgrade to this Rees Jones course will enhance the overall beauty of our club community, reduce the operational and financial burdens of maintaining a 50-year old course, and solidify BallenIsles Country Club in the market as truly best-in-class. Most importantly, improved playing conditions and an updated design that will appeal to all levels of players is sure to increase member satisfaction.

South Golf Course Voting Results
A Special Meeting of the Club was held on December 12, 2018 at 6PM to announce the results of the member vote on the renovation of the South Golf Course. The votes were managed and tallied by our independent accountants, RSM. Members were permitted to vote or change their vote until the start of the meeting. Of the 1430 Equity Members, 826 voted. This 57.8% participation exceeded the thirty five percent (35%) quorum threshold for the meeting.
The results of the voting are:
Question 1: To approve the South Course Renovation Project - 65.6% in favor; 34.4% against
Question 2: To borrow up to Five Million Dollars to finance the project - 64.1% in favor; 35.9% against
Question 3: To assess Full Members $100 per month for four years and Sports Members $66 per month for four years - 64.4% in favor and 35.6% against
Based upon these results, the project will go forward as planned with construction starting in April 2019. Full and Sports Members will be afforded the opportunity to make a one-time payment at a discount reflecting our borrowing costs. This will be covered in a separate notice to members. Should anyone sell their membership within four years after taking advantage of the prepayment, an adjustment will be made in their return of equity. Members will have until the end of December to take advantage of this opportunity.
